Vegetable thieves have struck in Ely.
The Ely Allotment Society is urging allotment holders to be on their guard after onions, beetroot and potatoes were stolen from plots at Bridge Fen, located off the A142 near Ely station.
A spokeswoman said: “On the night of Saturday, June 21 thieves stole whole rows of onions, beetroot and potatoes from plots on Bridge Fen.
“Vegetables on other plots were pulled up and left on the ground.
