Soham continued their good run with a resounding 5-2 win over Witham Town in Ryman League, Division One North.

The hosts wasted little time in stamping their authority on proceedings.

Luke Stanley opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Joey Abbs doubled the advantage 16 minutes later.

The score remained 2-0 at the interval but the Greens really hit their stride in the second half.

Michael Simpson made it 3-0 just two minutes after the restart and the result was put beyond any doubt when Buster Harradine netted a minute later.

The visitors reduced the arrears just before the hour mark through Lewis Godbold but Stanley grabbed his second five minutes later to restore Soham’s four-goal lead.

Shamido Pedulu scored a second for Witham in the dying minutes but that could not take the gloss off another good Soham win.
