Soham extended their winning run to six matches as three goals in the final 15 minutes saw them overcome Tilbury 3-0 at home.

The first half finished goalless, but the deadlock was broken in the 75th minute when substitute Ben Sawyer fired Soham ahead.

Tilbury’s hopes of getting anything from the match were dealt a severe blow 10 minutes later when Sam Cutler was sent off after picking up a second booking.

Soham top scorer Luke Stanley sealed the win for the hosts, striking twice in the final two minutes to take his tally for the season to 17 in all competitions.

The win sees Steve Fallon’s men move up to eighth in the Ryman League, North Division and within four points of the play-offs.

Soham face a trip to Barkingside on Saturday.
