Steve Fallon wants his Soham Town Rangers players to take their recent cup form into the league as they bid to start climbing the Ryman League, Division One North table.
The Greens travel to Thurrock tomorrow but will be full of confidence after their FA Trophy replay win over Grantham on Tuesday night.
Fallons’ men were the better side in both matches and if they can continue to produce those sort of performances they should start stringing good results together.
“We totally deserved to go through against a team from a higher league,” said Fallon.
“We’ve got to take that form into the league now. Cup games tend to bring out a different atmosphere and mentality but it’s important we continue to play like that in the league. When we play like that we’re a good side.”
Luke Stanley is an injury doubt with a hamstring complaint but Michael Simpson will be back in the squad for tomorrow.
If Stanley is unable to start, Ben Sawyer or George Darling, who both came on as substitutes in midweek, will start.
Dean De’ath and Luke Mitchell are also unavailable.
“The lads that started on Tuesday did very well,” added Fallon.
“We’ll have a look at things and decide the starting line up nearer the time.”
