Greg Harlow and Nicky Brett are set for a showdown with reigning champions Paul Foster and Alex Marshall in the pairs final at the Just Retirement World Indoor Championships.

The City of Ely duo saw off Scotland’s Jonathan Ross and Welsh bowler Robert Weale 11-2, 8-4 in their semi-final at Hopton-on-Sea yesterday.

It tees up a mouthwatering clash on Monday between English champions Harlow and Brett and Scottish pair Foster and Marshall, who will be searching for their fourth straight world crown.

Meanwhile, Harlow eased through the first round in the singles yesterday following an 8-3, 8-4 victory over Gary Kelly.

Harlow will meet either Darren Burnett of Scotland or New Zealand’s Bart Robertson in the next round on January 22.
