Business owners are being given the chance to help shape the future of Ely’s city centre.

The Ely City Centre Forum, which is a City of Ely Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council and Ely Traders’ Association partnership, is holding a special workshop next month.

Local shopkeepers and business owners are being invited to the event where they will be able to help plan the city centre priorities for the next 12 months.

Tracey Harding, tourism leader at the district council, said: “The Ely City Centre Forum has helped to re-establish communication and relationships with face-to-face retail visits, new promotional activities and new ways of partnership working.

“Your role in the work to safeguard and strengthen our city centre is vital to help set priorities, champion our independent traders and build on what makes our city special.”

The workshop is being held at the Ely Cathedral Centre on Monday, February 3 from 6.15-8.15pm. If you want to attend, call (01353) 665555.
