Parents parking illegally outside a school, investigating the theft of 16 bags of hay and an arrest for cannabis possession was just part of the work of a PCSO in the Soham area.
PCSO Emma Graves has been on the hunt for thieves who raided a stable in Isleham - and officers also arrested a drug user in Snailwell in the last few days.
She said: “A person was searched on the street and was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis. This person received a cannabis warning.
“The second crime was a burglary other than in a dwelling where 16 bags of hay was stolen from a stable in Isleham.”
The officer also warned of a potential increase in burglaries in the area.
She said: “Statistically in our area February is the month we have a slight spike in business burglaries. So along with our crime reduction/prevention officer Sue Loaker I have attended every unit on Hall Barn Industrial Estate in Isleham and spoke with business owners regarding security.”
And the officer has been part of a move to stop parents parking illegal outside a school.
She said: “I have visited all the schools and made dates to attend and give talks and engage with the pupils. I was also asked to pay some extra attention to the parking situation outside Fordham school at drop off and pick up times which I did. On Friday the officer was in Soham after a report of underage drinking in the youth shelter. Alcohol was seized and letters sent parents.
