Talented young dancers were finally able to show off their moves following months of rehearsals.

The Lantern Dance Theatre Company in Ely works closely with the city’s Highfield School, which is for pupils with additional needs, and every year they put on a musical theatre show.

This year’s show, Tiana’s Dream, was staged at the school for family, friends, staff and supporters on Thursday and Friday afternoon.

Ely’s new mayor, Cllr Lis Every, also attended the production, which was choreographed and directed by Helen Pettit, who founded the dance theatre company in 2005.

Every single pupil gets involved in the show, rehearsals for which got underway in January.
