Valuation and auction day at Ely's Old Palace

Residents are invited to get their antiques and collectables valued in Ely on Saturday (May 24).

Celebrity auctioneer David Palmer, who lives in the city, is hosting a special valuation and auction day at the Old Palace, on Palace Green.

Experts specialising in everything from jewellery and silver to furniture and paintings will be on hand from 12-3pm to provide expert advice and valuations, with the option of going to auction, where local collectors and antiques enthusiasts are also welcome.

Valuations cost £2 per item and there is no obligation to go to auction.

The auction itself kicks off at 4pm. Refreshments will also be served.
