Underpass at Ely Railway Crossing closed due to flooding

A busy road in Ely has been closed due to flooding.

The underpass at Ely Railway Crossing on the A142 Station Road has been closed by Cambridgeshire County Council Highways.

A spokesman said: “We closed the road just after 3pm due to flooding.

“We are currently at the scene pumping the water away and will the road will re-open later this afternoon.”

The spokesman said traffic is being diverted over the crossing.

Delays are expected.
