Farms across the region are throwing their gates open to the public next weekend - including G’s Fresh, near Ely.

The award-winning farm, in Barway, is among thousands of farms taking part in Open Farm Sunday on June 8.

People of all ages are being invited to enjoy tours of the farm and factory, plus there will be a vintage tea party, cookery demonstrations, a farmers’ market, stalls, barbecue and plenty of animals to fuss.

There will also plenty of fun for the children, including face painting, an insect corner, bouncy castle and tractor rides.

The event is free and is running at the Hainey Farm site in Barway from 10am-3pm.

Parking is available on site and there will be disabled access and facilities. Dogs are not allowed.

All proceeds from the event will also be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
