Pet store owner Piers Smart - and one of his beloved pooches - will be appearing on television next week.

Piers, who owns Scampers in Soham, will be talking about the importance of feeding your dog natural products on the programme, ‘The Truth About Your Dog’s Food’.

It is being aired on Channel 5 on Thursday, January 30 at 9pm - and will also feature one of his pets, Fish the French Bulldog.

It was around five years ago that Piers and his team bravely changed the vision of Scampers as a business. They made a stand against the majority of big name pet food brands and removed them from the store’s shelves - opting for natural pet food products only.

Piers said: “We haven’t looked back since then, which really was quite a brave decision. Pet owners are now realising that a lot of products out there really aren’t good for their animals.

“This is what the programme is all about and it’s great to be a part of it.”

Filming took place at Scampers in November.
