SLIDESHOW: Record crowds turn out to Wilburton Beer Festival

Written byJORDAN DAY

A record number of real ale lovers flocked to Wilburton Beer Festival over the weekend.

Hundreds of families bathed in the sunshine during the two-day extravaganza on the village recreation ground on Saturday and Sunday.

As well as a wide variety of beers and ciders, there were also live bands, a barbecue, hog roast and plenty of activities for the little ones, including a bouncy slide, bungee trampoline, face painting and storytelling.

The majority of money raised will be donated to Wilburton Primary School to help buy new IT equipment for pupils.

However, other local groups will also benefit once all the funds have been counted.
