SLIDESHOW: Budding Picassos get creative during workshops at King's Ely

Written byJORDAN DAY

Children as young as six were inspired by artists such as Matisse and Wayne Thiebaud during a series of workshops.

The fine art, sculpture and fashion workshops at King’s Ely Senior gave children at King’s Ely Acremont an opportunity to experience the wide range of art courses available in the school’s senior section.

The talented little ones were able to unleash their creative sides and make everything from T-shirt designs to puppets.

Director of Art at King’s Ely Senior, Alison Rhodes, said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for our Acremont pupils to explore the areas of fashion, textiles and fine art alongside the use of sculptural effects. It was a very rewarding experience for all concerned, with children describing the experience as super and excellent.”
