Rider taken to hospital after falling from a horse near Ely


A teenage girl was taken to hospital after falling from her horse near Ely.

Paramedics flew to the scene in the air ambulance, which landed in a field near Ely on Sunday just before 3pm

A spokesperson for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) said: “The patient had suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries. She was treated at the scene before being taken to Addenbrooke’s by the East of England Ambulance Service Trust ambulance, accompanied by EAAA medics, Dr Daniel Nevin and CCP, Jemma Varela.

“The patient is described as being in a stable condition.”
