Primary school's new flag is unveiled

A primary school now boasts a new flag thanks to one of its creative pupils and a group of older students.

Littleport Community Primary School ran a competition for its pupils to create an original design for a flag which would link the school with its community.

The winner was Year 4 pupil Callum Markwell and the primary school then commissioned older students from Ely College to produce the winning design.

Five college students, Charlotte Marsh, India Barton, Hollie Sheridan, Abigail Krepps and Chelsea Harrison, were commissioned to lead the project, and ran a series of batik making workshops with the young pupils before transforming Callum’s winning design into a large flag which will now be displayed in the school assembly hall.
