Car stolen from High Barns, Ely, is found torched in Barway

A car which was stolen from a property in Ely was later found torched in Barway.

The Volvo vehicle was stolen from outside a house in High Barns in the early hours of Friday and was found on fire in Barway Road, Barway, at around 10.20pm on Saturday.

One crew from Soham attended and used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire was confirmed as deliberate.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101.
