Playright Theatre Company's workshop is a hit with youngsters

Budding actors were able to perfect their stage skills during a fun-filled workshop in Ely.

The PlayRight Theatre Company, which launched a new youth theatre group in the city earlier this year, held a two-day workshop at the Cathedral Centre.

Young people of all ages were able to play drama games, learn about improvisation techniques and create a short play, which they then performed to family and friends.

Charlotte Borland, company director, said: “We all had great fun and created a fantastic little show. The group should be so proud of themselves as the show was a scary spectacular.”

The company teaches specifically theatre - not singing or dancing - and runs groups across the region.

The group meets at the Cathedral Centre every Friday evening and is for boys and girls aged 8-16.
