Petrou Brothers in running for another award

Award-winning fish and chip shop owners - brothers Mark and Peter Petrou - could soon have their hands on another gong.

The brothers, who run Petrou Brothers fish and chip shops in Chatteris and Cambridge, and who owned one in Ely Market Place for years, have been short listed as a finalist in the Staff Training and Development Award category of The National Fish & Chip Awards 2014 - organised by Seafish.

The award is a celebration of educational excellence in the industry and rewards businesses that are committed to developing their staff to the highest level.

The Petrou brothers will now fry off against Harbourside Fish and Chips in Plymouth, and Mr C’s in Selby, North Yorkshire, in one final round of judging before the winner is revealed at a prestigious awards ceremony, hosted by Michelin starred television chef Jean Christophe Novelli, in London next January.
