Professional dancer Vira Hazelwood is launching new salsa classes in Ely.

Mum-of-two Vira, who is from Russia but now lives with her family in Little Downham, will be holding the classes at the Octagon Dance Studios in the city’s High Street.

Vira, a competitive ballroom and Latin dancer, said: “The classes will be held every Friday from 8-9pm.

“They are for both men and women and you don’t need to come with a partner.

“I want to see people of all ages and abilities learning the salsa - it’s great fun and so good for you.”

The classes are being launched on Friday, January 17 and cost £40 for a five-week course.

In February, Vira will also be launching rock ‘n’ roll dance classes at Little Downham Village Hall.

Starting on February 10, they will be held every Monday from 8.45-9.45pm.
