A charity run and cycle ride which had to be postponed due to bad weather will now go ahead this autumn.

Ely Hereward Rotary Club planned to hold its inaugural Ouse Washes Experience fundraising event in April to raise funds for the emergency medical charity Magpas.

Now it will be held on September 21 – and the format has been altered to enable walkers of all abilities to take part too.

Gary Gardner, the event’s project leader said: “We are inviting corporate teams, charities, youth groups, families and individuals to take part. It’s a unique event, in a unique location, for a unique charity.”
