Motorist cut free from car which crashed into ditch in Welney

A motorist had to be cut free from their car after it crashed into a ditch.

Emergency services were called to the collision on the A1101 at Welney, at the junction with the B1411.

It happened at around 1.35pm on Saturday and the driver had to be cut free from the vehicle.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We took the casualty to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn by land ambulance.

“Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening.”

Police and fire crews from Littleport and Wisbech also attended the incident.
