A mobile classroom could be used to cater for a primary school’s ever-growing number of pupils.

Cambridgeshire County Council wants to erect a seven-bay mobile classroom at Sutton Primary School until August 2021.

In a statement to East Cambridgeshire District Council, the authority said the school currently has 317 pupils.

However, from this September, the number of pupils on roll is expected to rise to 345, which will require an additional two classrooms.

The council says the mobile classroom will “provide the required accommodation in the immediate term”.

The final decision lies with the district council.
