Man v Food challenge at Bar 62 in Ely - can you handle it?

Written byJORDAN DAY

Burger fans are being given the chance to put their eating stamina to the test.

A ‘Man v Food’ challenge is being held at Bar 62 in Newnham Street, Ely, on Saturday (June 14).

The main focus of the challenge is a mammoth 26cm-high burger crammed with two homemade burgers, bacon, three sausages, hash browns, cheese, lettuce, tomato – all sandwiched together in a burger bun.

And if that wasn’t enough to get your teeth into, participants will also be challenged to devour three sides – spicy barbecue beans, chunky chips and curly fries.

People will have just one hour to finish everything in front of them and the winner will receive £40. The runner-up will win a jug of beer.

The challenge kicks off at 2pm and entry is £15.

To sign up, visit Bar 62 or call (01353) 661003.
