Man, 35, punched to the ground following argument in Ely city centre

A police investigation is underway after a man was assaulted in Ely last night (Sunday).

The victim, a 35-year-old man, was punched to the ground by two men following an argument in High Street Passage at around 11.20pm.

Police say the man suffered injuries to his head and face, and that he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.
