Ely’s only nightclub is closing down, it has been announced.

Jar Jar’s, in Forehill, will be shutting next week.

On Wedesday (January 29), the nightclub’s official Twitter feed said: “Sad news, Jar Jar’s is only open for one more weekend so come along and party for one last hurrah.

“It’s been a pleasure Ely.... Party on Dudes!”

Jar Jar’s only opened in 2011 by former policeman Michael Binks.

Before that, the nightspot was called Iniquity and before it was the Glass House.
