Investigation underway after arsonists strike in Shippea Hill

Arsonists struck in the hamlet of Shippea Hill.

A van was torched at Shippea Hill Station at around 11.15am on Sunday.

One fire crew from Littleport attended the incident and arrived to find the vehicle well alight.

A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find the van on fire.

“Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished it using a hose reel and returned to their station by 2pm.

“The cause of the fire was deliberate.”
