Inquest opened into death of man at Ely's Sainsbury's store

An inquest has been opened into the death of a man who died in a supermarket in Ely.

George Coulson, 69, was inside Sainsbury’s in Lisle Lane when he died suddenly on April 3. Mr Coulson lived opposite the store in Bell Holt.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned pending further enquiries today (Tuesday).

The cause of death was provisionally given as ischaemic and hypertensive heart disease, and type 2 diabetes, chronic obstructive airways disease.
