Inquest opened into death of Ely woman who fell down stairs

An inquest has been opened into the death of a woman who fell down a flight of stairs at her home in Ely.

Rachel Fuller, 49, of Lisle Lane, died on Friday, May 23.

Emergency services and forensic investigators were called to the property just after 3pm and arrived to find she had fallen down stairs.

Police officers remained at the scene throughout Friday and Saturday.

An inquest into Mrs Fuller’s death was opened and adjourned this morning (Friday).

The cause of death was provisionally given as head injury consistent with a fall.

The inquest has been adjourned pending further enquiries.
