Young musicians and singers will be taking to the stage in Ely.

Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire (ADeC) is holding its ever-popular festival band night at The Maltings, in Ship Lane, on Wednesday, July 2.

Bands and musicians including Holden Girls, Through Dead Eyes and The Fakers, to name just a few, will be performing.

A spokeswoman for ADeC said: “The event, which is set to be a professional and enjoyable evening, will showcase the best of Ely’s young talent and provide an opportunity for overlooked bands to display their abilities.

“Several young performers have been attending workshops with Fenland Jam to form themselves into groups and hone their skills ready for the show.

“The event has been planned by our Arts Crew, who work behind the scenes to organise events and exhibitions, and there will be music to suit a range of tastes.”

The fun kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 each or £12 for four. For tickets or information, call (01353) 616991 or visit www.adec.org.uk.
