Delays on train services between Cambridge and Ely due to safety checks

Rail users faced delays between Cambridge and Ely this morning due to faults on the track in the Waterbeach area.

Safety checks were made on the stretch causing delays of at least 20 minutes on the route before buses were introduced for passengers at 10am.

The problems were reported shortly after 9am.

Services affected include First Capital Connect and Greater Anglia.
