Christmas park and ride service launching in Ely this Saturday

A Christmas park and ride bus service is being launched in Ely today (Saturday).

The City of Ely Council and Ely Soham Dial a Ride have joined forces to launch the service in the city.

Just like the old park and ride service used to before it was axed, the buses are taking people to and fro the city centre from the car park at Ely College, in Downham Road.

As previously reported, the service is running every Saturday until to December 21 and is costing the city council around £2,000.

It is hoped the temporary service will boost trade in the run up to Christmas and reduce congestion.

The cost is 50p each way for adults and free for under-10s.
