Plough Monday is being celebrated in East Cambridgeshire next week.

As ever, the Mepal Molly Men will be out in force in the Ely area to mark the annual celebration on Monday, January 13, which is the traditional start of the English agricultural year.

The troop will be performing at Mepal and Witcham Primary School at 10.30am, Sutton Primary School at 11am and at Robert Arkenstall Primary School in Haddenham at 11.30am.

They will then be at the Red Lion public house in Stretham from 1-2pm, on Haddenham village green at approximately 2.15pm and on Ely Market Square at 4.15pm.

Members of the public are invited to join in with the celebrations at any destination.

On Saturday, January 18 the Mepal Molly Men will also be at The Cutter Inn in Waterside, Ely, celebrating Ely Molly Day of Dance. The fun starts at 11am.
