Hundreds of people are expected to attend a charity carol service at Ely Cathedral next month.

Papworth Hospital Charity’s Carol Service raised £5,000 last year and organisers are hoping this year’s event will raise even more.

The concert is being held on Saturday, December 7 at 11am.

Supporters will have the chance to not only sing along to their favourite Christmas carols but also see the talented Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers perform.

Papworth staff and volunteers will take festive readings and eight candles representing departments across the hospital will be lit by trust staff.

Kate Lancaster, corporate services director at Papworth, said: “Our annual carol service is a wonderful opportunity for our supporters to come together and spread some festive cheer in the lead up to Christmas.”

Tickets range in price from £12.50 to £15 and are limited. To book, call (01480) 364237.
