48-hour crime spree across towns and villages in Cambridgeshire and Newmarket triggers appeal over red and yellow vans

A red van and a yellow van are being sought by police after a crime spree across two towns and four villages.

Police said yesterday in the previous 48 hours officers have seen a number of crimes across the south area of East Cambridgeshire. These are thefts from vehicles overnight to burglaries in the daytime in Soham, Newmarket, Wooditton, Burrough Green, Reach and Bottisham.

A spokeswoman said: “We have also had a couple of suspicious vehicles reported to us, a red van and a yellow van, while we are unable at present to link these vehicles with the crime series, they are definitely worth keeping an eye out for.”
