An Indian restaurant has helped to raise almost £500 for charity.

Le Spice, in Forehill, Ely, held a Bollywood themed charity event to raise money for the Mayor’s Charity.

Revellers enjoyed a three-course meal and Bollywood dancing, performed by local dance instructor Kriti Sachdeva, who runs Bollywood dance classes at The Atrium in Ely.

The event raised £444.50 for the Mayor of Ely’s charities.

During the evening, a prize of £50 was won by Paul Chambers, the owner of Cutlacks, also in Forehill.

He kindly donated the prize back, taking the total event raised on the night to £494.50.

Ely’s Mayor, Elaine Griffin-Singh, described it as a “super evening”.
