Business owners in the Ely area are being given the chance to get their hands on some grant funding thanks to a special partnership.
East Cambridgeshire District Council and Grants4Growth are working together to try and help local small and medium sized companies grow and succeed.
Grants4Growth is a scheme which provides capital and revenue grants for small to medium sized companies to purchase or install new processes, equipment and technology.
Grants4Growth’s business broker, Kurt Scheepers, will be basing himself at the district council’s E-Space Business Centre on the first Monday of each month to meet local businesses who have not yet taken advantage of the scheme.
Mr Scheepers said: “Grants4Growth funding aims to help businesses to grow and become more efficient.
“We have both capital and revenue funding available for firms and I will be free to talk to people about what might be best suited to their individual needs.
“I will be available on the first Monday of each month starting in June for businesses to come along and visit me to see how the Grants4Growth programme can help them meet the challenges of the future.”
Darren Hill, business development manager at the council, said: “We want as many of our local companies as possible to benefit from Grants4Growth funding to help them grow and create more jobs for the East Cambridgeshire economy.
“Kurt is available to offer advice on how Grants4Growth can support your business growth, help with applications and signpost other funding sources so please call to see how your business can benefit.”
