A charity shop in Ely is desperate for more volunteers.

Age UK, in High Street Passage, currently has around 20 volunteers but needs more and more people to help on the shopfloor and with processing and sorting donations.

Susie Fletcher, manager of the branch, said: “Our current volunteers are of all ages and are from all walks of life, and that is something which I’d like to stress.

“I’d urge anyone with a bit of spare time - it doesn’t matter how much - to come and help out.

“You won’t only make a difference in your local community but you’ll also boost your skills and confidence.

“We want elderly people with a bit of spare time on their hands to students who are doing their Duke of Edinburgh award.”

Pop into the shop for an application form.
